Simon Matthew 'Matty' Taylor is an English footballer who was born on 27 November 1981 in Oxford, England, and he plays in the position of left winger or left wingback. Taylor began his professional career in the 1999-2000 season with Luton Town. And in his first season at the club, he won the Young Player of the Year. Taylor's impressive performances made popular by many clubs. But in July 2002 he decided to sign a contract with First Division of the Premire League of Portsmouth with a value of £ 750,000. After losing his first team place at club Portsmouth in the first half of 2007-2008 season, he decided to move to Bolton Wanderers on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at a cost estimated at around £ 4 million.
