Miguel Ángel 'Míchel' Salgado Fernández is a Spanish footballer who plays at right back position and was born in As Neves, Galicia, Spain on October 22, 1975. Salgado began his career professionally when he joined with Celta de Vigo who at that moment playing against Real Madrid on January 22, 1995. However, in 1996-1997, Salgado lent to the club Salamanca. In 1999, Salgado was signed by Real Madrid with a transfer of € 11,000,000. He played in 29 games in his first season, even Salgado helped Real Madrid win the Champions League. In the years 2006-2007, Salgado more often there on the bench because of the position he also filled in by Sergio Ramos. Salgado was released by Real Madrid in August 2009. Signed a contract to play in Salgado Premire League with Blackburn Roves on August 19, 2009 for two years. After completion of the contract with Blackburn, he intends to retire from the world of football.
