Chris Basham was an English footballer who played in the position of defender or a midfielder and was born on July 20, 1988 in Hebburn, England. Basham began his junior career when joining Newcastle United. After the second period of play as a player and loans in Stafford Rangers Rochdale, Basham made his senior debut with Bolton Wanderers. Basham scored his first goal with Bolton on 11 April 2009 as against Chelsea at Stanford Bridge after he entered as a substitute in the 65th minute. Then on November 6, 2009, Basham signed a contract extension with Bolton until 2012.
