Gennaro Gattuso was the Italian footballer who played in the midfielder position. He has played 73 times for the Italian national team of them at the 2000 Olympics, 2002 FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO 2004, FIFA World Cup 2006, UEFA Euro 2008, Confederations Cup 2009 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Gattuso become one of the core players and current Italian national team won the 2006 FIFA World Cup and he won the Man of the Match, 2006.
As UEFA EURO 2008, Gattuso should spend time quarter-final round of Italy against Spain due to accumulated yellow cards to the coach of Italy must find a replacement. Gattuso decides to retire from international football after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
