José Manuel 'Pepe' Reina Paez was born on August 31, 1982 in Madrid, Spain. Reina is a player who played in Spain goalkeeper position. Although derived from the Madrid Reina but early in his career began in Barcelona in 1995.
Reina began his career as a goalkeeper with FC Barcelona's junior team and made his debut in La Liga 2000-2001 season. In 2004, he signed a contract with Villarreal and in 2005 moved to Liverpool and Reina made his debut in the year.
In 2006, Reina became the main goalkeeper for Liverpool and had the honor of playing in the FA Cup. In 2007, Reina has achieved by bringing Liverpool reach the Champions League Final just like his father in 1974 but Liverpool lost to AC Milan.
Reina reached record with Liverpool winning the Premier League, the Golden Globe award and goalkeeper cleanest in his first five seasons with Liverpool.
At the international level, Reina played for the youth teams of Spain and won the UEFA European U-17 Football Championship in 1999 and made senior debut with Spain in 2005, other than that he was also selected as the second keeper after Iker Casillas.
Reina Spanish national team squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 and made one appearance in the UEFA Euro 2008. In 2010, Reina shared in the Spanish national team victory in the 2010 FIFA World Cup although he did not play in the competition.
Reina is married to Yolanda Ruiz in Córdoba on May 19, 2006 before joining the Spanish national team in 2006. They were blessed with two daughters.
Reina's father Miguel Reina was also named footballer who played with Atletico Madrid in the European Cup Final in 1974, who was defeated by Bayern Munich. In the midst of his friends, Reina is known as an entertainer, including when Spain won the UEFA Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup in 2010.
