Iker Casillas Fernández is a Spanish footballer who played in the position of Goalkeeper. Casillas was born on May 20, 1981 in Móstoles, Spain. Casillas played in Spain with La Liga club Real Madrid. Casillas was the main keeper at Real Madrid and he served as vice-captain of the club in El Real.
In 2008, under his leadership as captain of the national team to replace Raul Gonzalez, Casillas led Spain to win Euro 2008 which is the first international title in 44 years time. At the World Cup in 2010, Casillas under his leadership as captain of the Spanish national team has brought the World Cup 2010 Spain defeated the Netherlands by a score of 1-0 in extra time in the Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg.
