Didier Drogba is a footballer who played in the Ivory Coast striker's position. Drogba is married to Lalla Diakite, a woman whom he met in Paris and Drogba was awarded three children. Drogba is a Muslim but his wife's religion Catholic. Isaac named his first son was born in Paris in 1999. Isaac has two sisters who also play football. On January 24, 2007, Drogba was appointed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Goodwill Ambassador. At the end 2009, Drogba announced that he will sign and donate three million pounds for the construction of hospitals in the city of Abidjan. This is done through donations and to 'Drogba Didier Drogba's Foundation' and the Blues also announced a donation to the Foundation's projects. Drogba build hospitals and foundations for the people who care about health and the chance for survival.
Drogba is a footballer from Côte d'Ivoire to International which first appeared in the World Cup in Germany in 2006, his first match against South Africa. In February 2006, Drogba of Côte d'Ivoire to strengthen the African cup and scored the only goal in the semi-final match against Nigeria and scored a victory in the quarterfinal against Cameroon. In the year 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast with a group with Nigeria and Mali. Drogba became the core players in every game. At the 2010 World Cup qualifying, Drogba scored six goals in five matches and Drogba helped Ivory Coast to escape the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In the group stage, Drogba scored a goal against Ghana and reached the quarter-finals but lost to Algeria. In March, Drogba has been named 2009 African Footballer of the Year and it is an award for the second time ever received.
