Michael Ballack is a footballer who was born on September 26, 1976 in Görlitz, East Germany and he played in the midfielder position.
Ballack began his football career with local club Chemnitz in 1990 when he was 7 years old.
In 1995, Ballack get a professional contract. On August 4, 1995, Chemnitz Leipzig defeated.
On March 26, 1996, Ballack made his professional debut with the German U-21 and next season he became a regular first team player and scored 10 goals for the club.
Because the games and goals scored in 2007 that was then on the season, Ballack signed a contract with Kaiserslautern. On March 28, 1998, Ballack made his debut the first time against Leverkusen. In the following season, Ballack made 30 appearances and scored four goals. Kaiserslautern reach the quarter-finals but lost Champions League from Bayern Munich.
On July 1, 1999, Ballack decided to move to Leverkusen when he was 22 years old with a transfer value of € 4,100,000. During the third season, joining Leverkusen, Ballack is a player that is important for the success of Leverkusen, scoring 27 league goals and nine goals in Europe.
In the 2000 season was a tough season for Leverkusen because Ballack was not able to help Leverkusen as league champion and then beat Real Madrid in the Champions League and were defeated Schalke 04 in the German Cup.
In 2002, Ballack helped Germany's national team at 2002 FIFA World Cup final. In this season, Ballack scored 17 league goals and he was elected to the UEFA.com users' Team of 2002 and as Germany Footballer of the Year.
Ballack decided to become part of Bayern Munich players in 2002 with the transfer value of € 12,900,000, after performing well in 2002 FIFA World Cup. In the 2004-2005 season, Ballack became part of the team that won the doubles championship. In four seasons at Bayern, Ballack won three Bundesliga and DFB_Pokal and scored 47 goals in 135 matches.
Ballack helps achieve Munich DFB Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt in the year 2006. Ballack agrees to join Chelsea on free transfer on 15 May 2006, although at that time Manchester United, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan are interested in a contract.

In summer 2010, precisely on January 17, 2010, Ballack scored for Chelsea against Sunderland and the FA Cup against Cardiff. Ballack shared in the Premier League title until the end of the 2009-2010 season. On June 9, 2010, Ballack left Chelsea on free transfer after his contract was not renewed.
Career with the German national team began on March 26, 1996 for U-21 team against the Danes. On April 28, 1999, Ballack as a substitute against Scotland while in the UEFA Euro 2000 championship he played only 63 minutes.

Ballack scored a goal in FIFA World Cup qualification in 2010, but he missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa because of injury when playing in the FA Cup Final and Germany ranked third after the play-off defeat of Uruguay.
