Karim Benzema is a French footballer of Algerian descent playing in the striker position.
Benzema began his college career at senior level with Lyon. Benzema French national team squad at EURO 2008. He also scored the most goals for the year 2007-2008 Ligue 1, which is his professional debut season. Benzema won numerous awards and a new contract that made him become one of the highest in the French footballer.
On July 1, 2009, Lyon has reached an agreement with the club Real Madrid for the transfer Benzema with a value of € 35 million or up to € 41 million depending on performance incentives. Dated July 9, 2009, finally Benzema signed a contract with Madrid over six years.
