James Lee Duncan "Jamie" Carragher or known by the name of Jamie Carragher is an English footballer who plays in a position to club Liverpool defender who was born on January 28, 1978 in Bootle, Merseyside, England.
Actually his childhood he was a supporter of Everton club but he has the desire to play with Liverpool from the start. Carragher with Nicola Hart married and has two children named James and Mia. Liverpool's academy have signed Carragher's son for Their Under 8 team.
Carragher is Liverpool's vice captain of the club to the present and the longest play for the club and make the 666th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions since May 9, 2011.
Carragher's football career started with the junior club Liverpool and made his professional debut in the 1996-1997 season. He made his senior debut for the club in 2001 and won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup and then won the UEFA Champions League in 2004. In the following year Carragher won the FA Cup again and selected in the PFA Team of the Year and he made a record of most appearances in European competition for Liverpool in 2007.
Carragher career with the internationally historian, he holds the national record for most appearances U-21 and obtain senior debut in 1999. Although he competed in EURO 2004 and FIFA 2006 World Cup squad but he failed in the national team and eventually decided to retire from international football in 2007 with a total of 34 appearances for England. Carragher decided to retire after he was selected to enter the 2010 FIFA World Cup squad.
