Gianluigi Buffon is an Italian footballer who plays in the goalkeeper position. He was born on January 28, 1978 in Carrara, Italy. Buffon is now known as the goalkeeper who played in Italy's Serie A with Juventus.
Buffon started his career as a junior footballer with Parma at the age of 13 years in 1991. He graduated in 1995 at the age of 17 years. Buffon's debut with Parma on November 19, 1995 when a draw against Milan by a score of 0-0. He continued his performance as much as 8 times in his first season with the club Parma. In the second season in 1996, Buffon was named the goalkeeper early and made over 200 appearances in all competitions with Parma. Furthermore, in the fourth season with Parma, he won the UEFA Cup. In the summer of 2001, Buffon's move to Italian giants Juventus with a transfer value of £ 32.6 million and broke the record as the most expensive goalkeeper.
