Cannavaro or Fabio Cannavaro is the Italian footballer who plays at center back position. Cannavaro was born on September 13, 1973 in Naples, Italy. Now he plays for UAE Football League club Al-Ahli Dubai. Cannavaro spent most of his career in his own country that is Italy.
He began his career with football in his hometown club Napoli before spending his career with the club for seven years and helped Parma win the Coppa Italia twice and the UEFA Cup in 1999. Next, Cannavaro continued his career with Inter Milan transfer with the club then moved to Juventus. After playing at Juventus, Cannavaro transferred along with coach Capello to Real Madrid and helped win the La Liga title flesh, two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008.
After the years of 2009-2010, he returned to Juventus and Cannavaro joined the club Al-Ahli in Dubai. Often He is noted to be one of the greatest Defenders in the modern era.
Cannavaro also achieved success with the Italian national team and become part of the core team that won the European Under-21 Championship for two consecutive years between 1994 and 1996. After playing a senior in 1997, he eventually became captain of the national team. Cannavaro led Italy's national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
And after Paolo Maldini that ended the football career with the Italian national team in 2009. Finally, he announced his retirement from international football on June 25, 2010 following the failure of Italy in the knock-out round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup after playing 136 and scored 2 goals for the national team. He won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2006, making HIM the first, and so far, only defender to win the award, as well as the oldest recipient.
Cannavaro has a brother who also played football professionally. Even Paolo and Fabio Cannavaro has played in a club with Parma.
