Stuart Holden was a Scottish footballer who was born in Aberdeen in the U.S. on August 1, 1985 and played in the midfielder position. Holden grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and started playing football at college in Chemsom University for two years. Then in March 2005, Holden signed a contract to play in Premire League with Sunderland. In 2006, Holden returned to the United States and play Major League Soccer (MLS) which is also the home town club Houston Dynamo. With MLS debut on May 27, 2006 and scored his first goal on July 22, 2006 against New England. In 2008, Holden received gift of U.S. Soccer Humanitarian of the Year award. After practicing a few weeks in England until the end of the season in the 2009 Major League Soccer, the official Holden joined the Premire League with Bolton Wanderers on January 25, 2010 and debuted with the club early on 24 April 2010 against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup. Holden noted in the American national team U20. In December 2003, Holden called in to reinforce the national team U.S. U-23 in California and play games against U23 U23 China. In July 2008, Holden were elected to the U.S. squad and compete in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Then on June 25, 2009, Holden was appointed to strengthen the United States team at the Gold Cup. Because the Confederations Cup, all the players a rest, then Holden was appointed to strengthen the United States national team playing in the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
